Blessthefall- You Wear A Crown But You're No King

Blessthefall, a metalcore/post-hardcore band, released a music video three weeks ago, with the help of Fearless Records and Brad Golowin, entitled You Wear A Crown But You're No King. This video draws its audience in with an intro that has a creepy almost horror like sound and mood. It has low key lighting and starts with a shot of a man’s feet and legs walking; almost dragging an axe aside of him. This makes you wonder what is going to happen, what he is going to do with this axe. It keeps you intrigued and wanting to know what he is doing. Soon enough it goes to black and cuts to Blessthefall surrounded by fire patches and some pyrotechnics going on in the background. Giving you the connection between the lyrics and the actual video. The lyrics talk about watching an empire fall and that we can connect with the destruction, fire, in the video.  Throughout the whole video these fire technics are used and it just gives it that classic rock band image that we have all come to know and love. That was a classic and wow factor to the video. I mean who doesn't love some old fashion pyrotechnics to give a band an edgy rebel like look? The music itself is well produced. The music compliments either the cleans or the screams. It gets edgy and heavy when the screams are being done and with the cleans it lightens up and allows the cleans to carry the direction of the instruments. Over all it was an intriguing and well done video to compliment a fantastic band!
